Some movies have a positive buzz before release. Everyone is eagerly awaiting when the movie will be released. One such film is 'Jathi Ratnalu'. The discussion on the movie has been going on since the title of the movie was announced. With the title being different and ‘Agent Sai Srinivasa Atreya’ fame Naveen Polisetti playing the hero, expectations on the ‘Jathi Ratnalu’ movie have increased. In addition, with the recent release of the teaser, trailer, and songs being super hits, those expectations have skyrocketed. Longer promotions have also been made very innovative. Amidst all these expectations, to what extent did the audience appreciate the movie 'Jathi Ratnalu' which was released on Thursday (March 11) as a Mahashivaratri gift? Let's see in the review.
Srikanth (Naveen Polisetti) is the son of Ladies Emporium Owner (Tanikella Bharani) of Jogipeta village in Medak district. He has two friends Ravi (Rahul Ramakrishna), Shekhar (Priyadarshi). These three roam the funk. Srikanth and his friends are annoying to the people in that village. Srikanth works at the Ladies Emporium run by his father and is popularly known as 'Ladies Emporium Srikanth'. He did not want to be called that and left for Hyderabad to do a job. Along with him, his two friends Ravi and Shekhar also come to Hyderabad. There Srikanth falls in love with Chitti (Faria). If this were the case, the trio would be accidentally arrested in a murder case. What is the connection between these three to that murder case? Who is that killer? How did the three escape from this case? That's the rest of the story.
The entire film revolves around the characters of Naveen, Priyadarshi, and Rahul Ramakrishna. Naveen lived in the role of the innocent Srikanth. He impressed the audience with his comedy timing. He shrugged the whole movie over his shoulders. He showed heroism in innocence and impressed. And Priyadarshi and Ramakrishna were as impressed as ever. The heroine Faria Abdullah looked cute in the role of Chitti. Also did well in terms of acting. Murali Sharma looked routine. Vennelakishore and Brahmanandam laughed with their comedy punches even though the characters were short in length.
Innocent comedy always feels fun. 'Jathi Ratnalu' is one such film. The film tells the story of what it would be like if three innocent people were caught in a serious crime. Director Anudeep made the entire film entertaining. The simple story dealt well with non-obscene comedy on the main lead. Also, he was careful not to bore the audience till the end of the comedy episodes he wrote. However, in some scenes, the comedy seems to be too overdone. Also, the manner in which the trial of the case was dealt with does not seem so convincing. There is a feeling that the logic is missed somewhere.
Also in the second half, the story seems to go a bit slow. Some of the comedy scenes and punchy dialogues in the first half generate good fun. Especially the court scene with Brahmanandam is the highlight of the film. Another ethnic gem for the film is music director Rathan. The background music along with the songs is also great. Siddam Manohar Camera performance is also good. The production values are in line with the cinematic level.
- The acting of Naveen, Rahul, Priyadarshi
- Pornless comedy
- Rathan's Music
- Lack of novelty in the story
- Some boring scenes in the second half
