Movie Story

Pinky (Arjun Cooper) is in Haryana Police but suspended. Pinky saves the life of a banker Sandeep Walia (Parineeti Chopra) from her own boss. Both are people living two different lives. But both of their lives collide. Some goons and crooks still remain enemies of Sandeep's life. She runs and runs away with Pinky. Will Pinki be able to save Sandeep's life? Is Pinky involved in any conspiracy? Will Sandeep be able to trust Pinky? Finding answers to these questions, the story moves forward and reaches the climax.

Talking about the performance in the film, it is Parineeti Chopra's film. Sandeep aka Sandy has a lot to do in the film, as there are many layers in his character. She is at one time bold, courageous, but at the same time, she also feels insecure. She is also scared. Parineeti has tried to play the character of Sandeep, whose understanding of the character is also exciting for the audience. However, this feature is not seen with Arjun Kapoor's character. He breaks out of his comfort zone, especially in the climax scene. But there is not much to do their part.

The other major characters of the film include Raghubir Yadav and Neena Gupta. He represents the crores of Indian couples who are part of the patriarchal society with great ease without any special effort. Jaideep Ahlawat plays the top cop in the film, but he has nothing special to do. There is only one song in the film, but Anu Malik has missed it too. While background music also does not leave any special effect.

Like the film title, the story also has many twists. In this story, there is a difficulty in dividing the two classes in the class divide. Is a deep trick. There is suspense as well as drama. Overall, 'Sandeep Aur Pinky Farrar' has all the good things that can make a film a suspense-filled dark comedy. But this film seems superficial on all these parameters. Everything has been fabricated from the top up, there is something hollow inside. The film forces you to keep an eye on the screen from its opening scene. Dibakar Banerjee weaves an interesting and exciting story in the first half of the film. In the first half, the audience is only shown what is happening, how is happening, and why it is happening.

Sandeep Walia aka Sandy is running away from her boss. The boss is following him. Pinkesh aka Pinky is constantly trying to save her. There is an atmosphere of suspense in the theater. But as soon as the film reaches its second half, you do not experience anything special like suspense. The revelations that occur are not thrilling. The result is that the film slows down. There is repetition in many things. Dibakar Banerjee has tried to show many forms of Hindustan in the film. Then, whether it is a matter of bank scams, sucking blood on the pretext of a poor couple. The film tries to show many issues and touch them at least. Anil Mehta has also worked hard on shots of a beautiful city on the Indo-Nepal border.

Overall, 'Sandeep Aur Pinky absconding' is one of those films that promises to keep the audience engaged, talks about entertaining as well as empowering. Slowly opens its layers, keeping the suspense intact. But the film falls apart before time. Speed is also very slow, which is boring.
