Every time the words live action and anime sound, fans start to feel cold sweat running down their bodies. It is that live action adaptations based on successful anime, end in disaster, as happened with Dragon Ball Evolution or Death Note, to name a few.

Ever since Netflix announced that it would dive right in with a live action Cowboy Bebop, fans have been concerned for fear that Shinichiro Watanabe's hit anime will end up tainted by this series. After a long wait, the platform began to reveal the material of this ambitious bet, and little by little it was persuading the fans. Now with the release of the first trailer, Netflix left everyone speechless.

Less than a month after the Cowboy Bebop premiere, this trailer arrives that offers a first look at the main characters, outer space, history, and impressive aesthetics. The trailer shows various nods to the original series, such as the anime episode Ballad of Fallen Angels, where the story shows Spike's tragic criminal past.

The official synopsis tells us that Cowboy Bebop is an action-packed space western about three bounty hunters, who try to leave their past behind. As different as they are deadly, Spike Spiegel (John Cho), Jet Black (Mustafa Shakir), and Faye Valentine (Daniella Pineda) form a tough and sarcastic team ready to hunt down the most dangerous criminals in the solar system, for the right price.

The showrunner André Nemec commented that this new story will be an expansion of the anime, so many situations will not be the same as those seen in the original material, this is a plus because it helps this adaptation to generate its own identity.

Cowboy Bebop is coming to Netflix on November 19 and hopes that it will break the curse of live-action anime are getting higher and higher.
