Amazon Prime Video premieres one of Ben Affleck's best performances

Amazon Prime Video is betting lately on exclusive and novel productions for its streaming service. Last month I was betting on science fiction films like "Encounter" or "Being the Ricardos", which the truth is that it will be one of the films that will be talked about in the awards season. Another one of those films that can be talked about has also reached Amazon Prime Video just two days ago, and above all, it stands out for the performance of its protagonist, Ben Affleck.

We are talking about "The Tender Bar", which is directed by George Clooney and written by William Monahan, screenwriter of "The Departed" and although it has received rather lukewarm reviews, there is a fairly powerful consensus around Ben Affleck: It is one of his best performances. You can watch the trailer for "The Tender Bar" below:

More about The Tender Bar

"A pub in the Manhasset, Long Island neighborhood, becomes a second home for a fatherless boy in The Tender Bar, a moving and inspiring story of self-improvement directed by George Clooney. The life of JR (Tye Sheridan and Daniel Ranieri ), whose father disappeared before he was old enough to speak, is turned upside down when he moves into his grandfather's dilapidated house long after he and his mother (Lily Rabe) went through difficult times.

Under the unconventional tutelage of his uncle Charlie (Ben Affleck), a charismatic self-taught bartender, and out of a handful of bar regulars, JR becomes a young man determined to fulfill his dream of becoming a writer. "
