Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: Reshoots Complete


With its release date currently announced for May 6, 2022, the movie Doctor Strange 2, which has the official title of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, continues to gain news. And among them, the most recent one involves precisely its production status.

According to information from the website Deadline (via Screen Rant), the actor Benedict Cumberbatch revealed in an article in which he celebrated his nomination for the SAG Awards for his work on the film Attack of the Dogs that the reshoots of the new feature starring the hero of the Marvel were finished.

Production on additional filming for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness began in late November and early December 2021, and since then the film has been surrounded by rumors involving possible cameos. Filming officially ended on January 8, 2022.

It was previously highlighted that Benedict Cumberbatch And Benedict Wong have had their returns for the sequel confirmed by Marvel Studios. Another name already confirmed in the project is Elizabeth Olsen as the character Wanda / Scarlet Witch, who will have gone through the events of WandaVision.

Xochitl Gomez, who recently appeared in The Babysitters Club series, is also in the cast of the new film starring the Marvel Studios hero, as well as Rachel McAdams will be returning as Christine Palmers.

Scott Derrickson will take over as executive producer on the project, while Jade Bartlett had been hired by Marvel to work on developing the film's script. Michael Waldron was hired by Marvel Studios to rewrite the screenplay for the feature starring the hero, while Sam Raimi will take over the direction of the project.
